Job Description
 
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager for a downtown Chicago high-rise housing project!
 
This position will have full responsibility for effectively negotiating business and legal provisions of construction contracts; assuring that project responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately; overseeing design development, budget preparation and development of project schedules; supervising a team of Project/Field Engineers, Project Managers and Project Assistants; and developing procurement strategy including preparation of bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts.
 
The successful candidate must be comfortable and effective delivering formal sales presentations; have advanced knowledge of urban high-rise construction means and methods, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management, and be able to display experience within the high-density housing product type. Will also promptly and effectively resolve issues with win-win solutions; display natural leadership skills and qualities to guide multiple project teams with direct responsibility of project personnel. The ideal candidate will lead by example, display honesty, integrity, and good judgment while maintaining the highest professional standards at all times, and will be a proven team player.
 
A bachelor’s degree in construction management or construction engineering is required along with a minimum of 10 years’ construction project management experience in an overall leadership role on contract values from $20 million to $100 million. Specifically must have strong background leading highly visible downtown projects, preferably in the Chicago market.
