Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Director of Development in our Tampa office. The main responsibility of this position is to support the execution of Ryan-owned senior living development projects.  While the main focus will be on senior living, the position will allow the individual to support other forms of development such as mixed-use and multi-family housing. Developing strong external relationships within brokerage networks, third party consultants, governmental agencies and senior living operators will help to enable success in this position.  

Specific responsibilities include responding to RFPs and RFQs; preparing draft pro formas and pursuit cost forecasts; assessing potential development sites; managing third party leasing activities; and assisting in negotiation of development, site purchase, and public financing agreements.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate development, commercial real estate brokerage or finance, or civil engineering or construction project management. Strong financial acumen and concise written and verbal communications skills are required. A bachelor’s degree in real estate, construction or business related field is required, with a master’s degree preferred.
