Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Virtual Construction Coordinator in Minneapolis, MN! This position is responsible for executing virtual design and construction integration techniques on projects, in addition to providing pursuit support.
This position will interface with several disciplines, both internally and externally, assisting project teams with collaboration and general media, estimating, scheduling, logistics, procurement and conflict resolution before physical construction commences; work with Virtual Design and Construction Director to define best practices and identify areas for improvement; assist in writing work instructions and creating training videos; produce and provide project-specific collaboration models, 4D schedules, animations, graphics and related techniques to effectively communicate Ryan’s capabilities and value in proposals, interviews, and on secured projects.
Successful candidates will have strong interest in leading edge construction related technology; have the ability to quickly learn multiple virtual construction applications including Revit, Civil 3D and others; have basic understanding of multiple construction scheduling techniques; competency with Adobe Creative Suite applications; understand application development, configuration, customization and implementation; have ability to prioritize workload and create action plans to ensure commitments are met. Must have general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing; and knowledge of complete project cycle. Must be self-motivated as early adopter of technology and applications; work efficiently within a structured application environment; be able to troubleshoot problems and create resolutions in timely manner; demonstrate excellent customer service for internal and external customers with a sense of urgency in all aspects of the position.
Specific requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, or Engineering along with a minimum of 1 year experience in the construction or design field. Candidates must also have excellent mathematical skills, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, along with solid organizational skills. Also must have willingness and ability to travel to construction jobsites, including out-of-state jobs.
