Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has a career opportunity for an experienced Industrial Project Manager in our Minneapolis, MN office.
We are seeking a candidate with 5 or more years of successful industrial design-build experience in cold storage and distribution center construction, with an emphasis on pre-construction.
Specific duties include: proposal preparation, detailed estimating, budget preparation, project scheduling, preparing bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts and participating or leading owner/client sales presentations and negotiations. This position will be responsible for overall transition of pre-construction activities to the production management team.
Successful candidates will assume responsibility and communicate effectively with sales team, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, governmental authorities and owners. Must have excellent attention to detail; strong communication skills, both written and verbal; a high level of understanding and proven experience managing industrial projects; advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing; and the ability to lead and inspire others.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required along with the ability and willingness to travel, possibly for extended periods of time. Cold storage and distribution center construction experience, including strong working knowledge specific to material handling and conveying, rotating equipment, piping, controls and instrumentation is highly preferred.
